Is my Huichol art fragile?
Not normally, treat your artwork as you would any valued collectable or piece of art.
Will the beads fall off?
They should not unless the piece is abused, such as dropping or exposing to very high heat.
Is my artwork unique?
Very much so, no two pieces are alike. The artist decides what colors and patterns to use based on his or her visions.
What is the best way to display my art work?
Whether your art is beaded, yarned or both you may display as you would any other valued collectable or piece of art. However, because of the nature of the artwork, it is best not to place in direct sunlight.
How does the artist come up with the designs for yarn paintings?
The Huichol Indians are know as "The People of the Peyote", therefore in each painting the artist is attempting to tell a story based on a vision or experience he or she has had.
How do I know what the yarn painting says or means?
Each yarn painting has its explanation written on the back of it by the artist. We provide English translation.
